Leadership Agility

Speaker:
Bill Joiner
Event Date:
02/08/2010

Bill JoinerIn every industry, the pace of change is accelerating.  Everyone’s business environment is becoming more complex and interconnected.  More and more companies now realize that these powerful conditions call for agile organizations and agile leaders.  Yet only about 10% of today’s managers have the level of leadership agility needed for long-term success in this turbulent era.

Until now, little has been known about what leadership agility looks like in practice or how to help managers develop this vital competency.  In this interactive presentation, you will have an opportunity to experience what different levels of leadership agility look like in three key “action arenas:” leading change, improving teamwork, and pivotal conversations.  You will also learn about how leadership agility can be assessed and developed.

Bill Joiner, co-author of the award-winning book, Leadership Agility, is a seasoned leadership and organization development consultant with 30 years of experience completing successful projects with companies based in the US, Canada, and Europe. He is also president of ChangeWise, a firm that helps clients develop organizational, team, and leadership agility.  As co-designer of the Leadership Agility 360, ChangeWise also trains and certifies coaches in its use. For 9 years he has be an adjunct faculty member in Leadership for Change, at Boston College. Success in Life - Success in Work

Event Date:
02/11/2010 - 02/15/2010

Bert Hellinger is offering this training as a full immersion into working with The Orders of Success.

This work, unlike other organizational and life seminars, does not focus on problems or solutions from an external perspective, and neither does it use time-management or coaching techniques. Rather, organizational structure, work problems, and life issues are looked at in terms of the
intersecting aspects of individual, historical, and systemic variables. Core issues related to work and life become immediately clear in every problematic situation -- as do their inherent solutions.

The workshop costs $1,143.19 (including taxes) and requires a $250 deposit.

Registration is at http://www.successinlife-successinwork.com/registration.html

Open Space SIG - Stammtisch

Event Date:
02/16/2010

The New York Open Space Special Interest Group gathers
every two months, on the third Tuesday of the month, around 6 pm at The Perfect Pint, 203 E. 45th St. between 2nd and 3rd Ave. (Note this is a NEW location!)

Welcome to anyone with an interest for Open Space!

  • Practitioners wishing to
    share ideas and experience
  • Potential users wanting to
learn more about this collaborative group work approach
  • People just curious about
this different way of working as a group

This gathering is very informal...

People come and go as they wish
and talk about whatever is on the top of their minds regarding Open Space. You
can have drinks, and dinner also, stay for a while or just drop by and say
hello. No agenda is set, no speakers are invited, always lots of energy. The
invitation usually contains a question to serve as a theme to start
conversations. Our first one will be: What makes Open Space so
engaging and productive?

Networking, collaboration, generating ideas and connections...

Bring your curiosity, your
passion, your whole baggage of experience and your smile! You can also bring
stuff for others to look at (videos, pictures, books of proceedings from recent
open spaces or anything else). We'll talk about Open Space, and also about
other methodologies or interesting books or conferences, or sometimes even
about what is happening in the news!

Open Space "stammtisch" worldwide!

This kind of gathering happens
all over the world. It started in Germany and was named "stammtisch"
- a German word for the "regulars' table" in a pub or restaurant,
literally reserved for the same guests at the same time every day or every
week. There is usually a sign on the table saying "Stammtisch". So
our invitation will also be sent to the international OSList, so that visitors
from other countries passing through New York and are real "Open Space
Stammtisch addicts" can join us.
