Board Member Biography: Rachel Lee

Rachel Lee

Rachel Lee is vice president of Talent Development & Organizational Capability at American Express.  Along with her global team she focuses on performance consulting, leadership development and employee engagement.  Prior to this position, Rachel served as vice president of Workforce Transformation where she was responsible for spearheading company efforts around the 'future of work' and created new flexible work models.  In this role she won the Chairman's Award for Innovation.  She has also held a number of senior generalist HR roles and served as a member of key executive teams charged with new significant revenue growth.

Before joining American Express, Rachel held positions in a number of international markets.  From 1996 through 2001, she held a variety of roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers, including Head of Career Development for Europe, Middle East and Africa; based in London and HR Director in Eastern Europe’s Baltic States: Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.  

Rachel is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, holds a bachelor’s degree in American and Commonwealth Arts from Exeter University, England and a master’s degree in People and Organizational Development from Roffey Park, England.   As well as being passionate about learning and personal development, Rachel also loves to travel, hike, dive and practice yoga.
