Board Member Biography: Miguel Bonilla

Miguel Bonilla

Miguel Bonilla is the Director of United Way of New York City's Strengthening New York City Nonprofits, with investments focused on building the capacity of nonprofits to pursue their mission.  These programs include:

  • The Nonprofit Leadership Development Institute (NLDI) – a series of programs that provide a diverse group of professionals with the skills and credentials necessary to lead, either as a nonprofit employee or as a board member.
  • Organizational Support Services (OSS) – service grants for
    customized consulting, training and technology to develop the management systems of nonprofits aligned with United Way of New York City's goals.

Miguel holds a Masters Degree in Urban Policy from the New School for Social Research and a Masters Degree in Organizational Management from Antioch Los Angeles. Miguel has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 15 years, mostly in microenterprise program development, advocacy and social marketing.
